(English Presentation Skills)
This course is designed to improve your public communication skills. It is focused on making presentations. Conversation usually involves two-way communication between two people, or possibly a small group of three or four people. This kind of communication is not designed or planned. It occurs naturally and it is difficult to predict the direction it will take. There are often mistakes and misunderstandings which are repaired immediatly as participants negotiate a successful conversation. Presentations involves one-to-many communication. This kind of communication is hard to repair when understanding fails, and therefore it is carefully planned so that listeners understand clearly the first time. The goal of this course is to develop the skills required to structure your ideas in an organized way, and then present them.
The Coronavirus has caused a number of problems for the university, and this moodle course is designed to allow the course to continue without face-to-face meetings if necessary.
